The “Green Business Award” is worth 25,000 francs and will be awarded for the fourth time at the end of September 2022. Three companies prevailed against their 36 competitors, including Planted, and are fighting for the coveted award in the final in Bern.

Since 2019, the “Green Business Award” has annually honored the most innovative Swiss companies that combine ecological impact with economic success. In the first phase, around 20 partner organizations - consisting of environmental associations and business organizations - each nominate three of the best solutions in their industry. These will be nominated for the award. A preliminary jury awards the five best solutions with the “Green Business Excellence” label. These five companies present themselves in a pitch to the main jury. The main jury, chaired by former Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard, includes 16 personalities, including Prof. Dr. Reto Knutti (Professor of Climate Physics, ETH Zurich), business journalist Patrizia Laeri and Patrick Odier (managing partner Lombard Odier). Three of the five “Excellence Label” holders will be named finalists for the “Green Business Award” and one company will receive the coveted award on September 23, 2022 as part of the Swiss Sustainability Forum. Swiss Post supports the award as a presenting partner and pioneer for sustainability in its industry.
